George E. Graves

                GAMBIER- George Edward Graves, 87, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the Kobacker House in Columbus.

                He was born Aug. 30, 1936 in Scioto Twp., Pickaway Co. to the late Leora Edward and Goldie Elizabeth (French) Graves. He married Bonnie Sue (Alexander) Graves on March 23, 1962, who preceded him in death on June 10, 2022.

                George was a maintenance supervisor for the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture for over 30 years. He enjoyed carpentry and mowing the grass. He was a member of the Colonial City Moose Lodge 2555 in Mt. Vernon.

                He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Lepley of Gambier; a granddaughter, Samantha Lepley of Gambier; and several nieces & nephews.

                In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

                Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 at Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11th at Workman Cemetery, with Dave Jones officiating.
