George Kocian

                Brinkhaven – George J. Kocian, Jr., 80, passed away on Monday July 5, 2021 at the Knox Community Hospital.

                He was born May 15, 1941 to Viola (Vince) and George Kocian, Sr. On April 25, 1964, he was married to his wife, Carol Ann.

                George was a true entrepreneur his entire life. He started with a printing business, and moved on with his many endeavors to include farming, raising hogs, satellite tv sales, restaurant ownership, real estate rentals, and his newest venture, hemp farming. He was recently a co-director of the Ohio Hemp Cooperative, and in the past, he was President of the Coshocton County Pork Producers Association.

                He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol, his children, Diane (Ronnie) Amore, Susan (Rick) Martin, and Kathy (Brad) Ringwalt, grandchildren, Ross (Jenny) Amore, Anthony (Marice) Amore, Kyle and Andrew Amore, and Madison and Dakota Ringwalt, great grandchildren, Emery and Meredith Amore, his brother, Joeseph, and his sister, Yolanda Dambrosia.

                He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father-in-law, and his grandfather whom he had a special relationship with.

                A private service will be held at the Tiverton Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery. The Fischer Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Condolences can be shared with the family at fischerfuneralhoem.com.
