Mount Vernon – Jacqueline “Jackie” L. (Colopy) Shackle, 93, a former Danville resident, passed away on Saturday February 15, 2020 at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.
She was born in Danville on February 1, 1927 to the late Charles and Lucille (Nommay) Colopy. She was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville.
She is survived by her son, James (Rachel) Myers of Danville, step son, Jeff (Rochelle) Shackle of Butler, step daughter, Gail Cline of Mount Vernon, grandchildren, Michael (Tina) Myers of Millersburg, Stephen (Katie) Myers of Centerburg, and Shawn (Mary Cathrine) Myers of Lexington, great grandchildren, Wyatt, Garrett, Curtis Myers, and Autumn Myers, step grandchildren, Kyle and Kory Shackle, Jessica Cline, and Karina McDonald, step great grandchildren, Case McDonald, and Ava Shackle, and her sisters, Kate Durbin of Mount Vernon, and Norita Hurley of Danville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry and Charles Colopy, her first husband, Glenn Roy Myers, her second husband, Ronald “Bud” Shackle, and her daughter, Linda Sue Myers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 19 at the St. Luke Community Center, West Rambo St. Danville. Father Daniel Olvera will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time.
