HOWARD- Jim Blaisdell, 59, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio on October 20, 1960 to Kenneth E. And Marcella (Yearous) Blaisdell. He was married to Lisa Ridgway on September 29, 1979.
Jim’s love for his family and community was marrow deep. Married to the love of his life for 40 years, Jim was a truly remarkable husband, father, grandfather and friend. When marrying Lisa, Jim was embraced by a very large, loving Ridgway family. After graduating from Danville High School in 1979, Jim worked or volunteered for many community organizations. He was employed by the Danville Village, and Danville Local Schools, volunteered 8 years for the Danville Volunteer Fire Department and was a huge support to Lisa and the Danville American Legion Auxiliary.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Jessica (Matt) Horlacher of Fredericktown, Ohio, and Brock (Rachel) Blaisdell, of Honolulu, Hawaii; six grandchildren, Kailin, Braxton, Grace, Laine, Amelia and Evelyn. He is also survived by his sisters, Tammy Blaisdell of Mt. Vernon, and Terry Breckler of Danville; his brothers & sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Ron) Locke of Kentucky, Mary Ridgway of Howard, Polly Hanson of Mt. Vernon, Tom (Diane) Ridgway of Danville, Marcia (Lon) Lepley of Howard, Marilyn Roberts of Fredericktown, Steve (Sandy) Ridgway of Minnesota, and Marie Blubaugh of Howard; 35 nieces and nephews, 89 great nieces and nephews and 40 great, great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Eva & Byron Yearous and Luemun & Twila Blaisdell; step-grandmother, Bertha Blaisdell; brothers-in-law, Joe Ridgway, William Ridgway, and Tim Blubaugh; and sister-in-law, Mary Lee Kirk.
