Mount Vernon – Martha Stull, 101, formerly of Howard, passed away on Sunday January 10, 2021 at the Country Court Nursing Home.
Martha was born in Smithville on January 3, 1920, where she graduated High School. She was the daughter of David R. and Florence (Klopfenstein) McFadden, who preceded her in death along with her brothers, David and Ross McFadden, and her late husband, Eldwin L. Stull, who she married on June 10, 1942.
Martha got her two year degree from Manchester College, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in education from The Ohio State University. She taught for 32 years. She was a long time member of the North Bend Church of the Brethren, where she also taught Sunday School.
Surviving are her two children, Joellyn (Fred) Bashford of Miamisburg, and Jerry (Elaine) Stull of Howard, her four grandchildren, Scott (Allison) Bashford, Todd (Nicolette) Bashford, Brock (Julie) Stull, and Jara (Jeff) Dell, and her seven great grandchildren, Jacob, Lydia, Ellie, Christopher, Owen, Zachary, and Alivia.
A private interment will be held at Workman Cemetery with Patrick Bailey officiating, and a memorial service will be held at the North Bend church at a later date.
