Geneva, OH - Mary E. (Krebs) Kaser, born March 5, 1940 to Gilbert and Carrie (McFee) Krebs in Coshocton, was called home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2021 at the age of 80.
She married Andy “Joe” Kaser on June 21, 1958.They made their home in Warsaw before moving to Ashley where they raised their family. She later moved to Geneva. No matter where she lived, she took pride in keeping a home and yard that were always well kept where friends and family were always welcome for a laugh, support, or a cup of coffee and a snack. You never left hungry if she had her way!
She is survived by children David (Linda) Kaser, Don (Becky) Kaser, Boni (Joe) Cooper and grandchildren Chad Reidmiller, Heather (Bob) Grace, Jennifer Kaser, Taylor (Josue) Depeux, Nick (Sarah) Kaser, Farrah Kaser, Sarah (Andy) Arth, Mike Cooper, Cora Harper and great grandchildren Keagan, Tatum, Tank, Bradley, Lincoln, and Samuel. She is also survived by her brother James(Kay) Krebs, brother-in-law Jack(Judy) Kaser, and sister-in-law Reva Borden.
Also considered as family to Mary are Mary (Mom) Mobley and Pat Miller. Surviving nieces and nephews include Mark (Shayne) Krebs, Debbie Krebs, Tony (Tara) Kaser, Tad (Stacy) Kaser, Ronnie Borden, and Raenel (JP) Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, daughter Patricia, grandson Joey Kaser, in-laws Klines and Marie Kaser, brother-in-law Bob Borden, and nephew Rick Borden. She also leaves behind many dear friends.
She retired as an office manager from the Central Ohio Mental Health Center. Mary loved being up and moving. Square dancing with Joe was one of her favorite pastimes where lifelong friends were made. She was a member of the Geneva United Methodist Church and thoroughly enjoyed “the ladies” from her Sunday School class and volunteering for different activities at church. Reading was a hobby for Mary and she was a member of the Friends of the Geneva Library. She really enjoyed volunteering with “Kicks” and going into GPS Elementary and helping youngsters with learning to read! She was also involved at the Geneva Senior Center where she participated in a weekly exercise group (Pace) where lunch out after was always a highlight of the day. She was recently selected as the Geneva Senior Center Citizen of the Year. She loved being a part of the “Off Your Rockers” band and bringing joy to others through music. The Geneva Little League and youth football program also benefited from Mary’s volunteering spirit. She was always just a phone call away to work a concession stand, make something for a team dinner or provide rides. Mary loved watching football. She rarely missed watching a Geneva Eagles, Buckeyes, or Browns game. Playing cards was one of Mary’s lifelong favorite pastimes. She loved taking road trips and was well known for her travel treat bags!
A funeral service for immediate family will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Those unable to attend due to COVID restrictions will be able to watch through a live stream on below on her obituary page, and also at the Fischer Funeral Home-Warsaw Facebook page. Just refresh/reload either web page just before service time. Pastor Dail Parrish will officiate. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery.
