Howard – Nick Blubaugh, 41, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
Nick was born December 24, 1979 to Timothy and Marie (Ridgway) Blubaugh. He was a member of the Green-Perrysville Fire Department, and a former Assistant Chief with the Monroe Township Fire Department.
He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, riding his motorcycle, paintballing on weekends, and craft beer, including brewery trips and even making his own batch.
Nick is survived by his mother, Marie (Ridgway) Blubaugh, of Howard, his sons, Isaac, Tyler, and Lukas Blubaugh, his fiancé, Stacy Clayton of Howard, grandparents, Carl and Maude Blubaugh of Howard, aunts, Julie (Vernon) Howell of Wooster, Susan (Greg) Loney of Mt. Gilead, and Pam (Tommy) Smith of North Carolina, Rebecca (Ron) Lock of Kentucky, Marcia (Lon) Lepley of Howard, Lisa Blaisdell of Howard, and Polly (Gary) Hansen of Mount Vernon, uncles, Greg (Lisa) Blubaugh of Bellville, Tom (Diane) Ridgway of Danville, and Steven (Sandy) Ridgway of Minnesota, and his many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tim, his grandparents, Rodney and Faith Ridgway, aunts and uncles, Cynthia Ridgway, Mary Lee Kirk, Marilyn Roberts, Joseph Ridgway, William and Mary Ridgway, and Jim Blaisdell.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7:00 Thursday September 23 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. A public graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24th at Workman Cemetery in Danville. Condolences can be shared with the family on his obituary page at fischerfuneralhome.com.
