Norma Barnett

Danville - Norma Marie (Frost) Barnett, beloved wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family.

Norma was born in Erie, PA.  She was raised and educated in Massachusetts, where she graduated from Newton-Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1953.  She worked as a registered nurse for more than 50 years.  She started at the Lyndeborough, New Hampshire Central School as the school nurse.  She then served as head nurse at the Liberty & Highlander Nursing Homes in Milford, NH.  She also worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, NH, before finishing her career as a home visiting nurse.

Norma was predeceased by her first husband, George R. B. Frost as well as her second husband, Bruce E. (Barney) Barnett.

Norma is survived by a large and growing family, including her 5 children: George R. Frost of NH, Mike A. Frost of OH, Rick A. Frost of NH, David W. Frost of NH, and Linda M. More of FL, as well as her 2 stepchildren: Scott Barnett of NH, and Elizabeth Travers of FL.  She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and her two brothers: Roger DeMont of MI, and Warren DeMont of VT.

Norma leaves a legacy of love to all who knew her. A funeral service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the Martinsburg Christian Church, 2710 Millersburg Rd. Utica, OH 43080. Her burial will be in the Johnson Corner Cemetery in Lyndeborough, NH.
