Obituary

 

 

                Mount Vernon – Polly Ann Bartholomew, 91, passed away on Saturday January 23, 2021 at Brookdale.

                She was born in Akron on June 10, 1929. She was the daughter of the late James and Goldie (Lunsford) Campbell. She was a member of the The House of Prayer, and the Grove Church of Christ as well as the Ohio Eastern Star, the Ohio Grange, and the Garden Club.

                In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Bartholomew, on January 5, 2002, and her half brother, Henry.

                Polly is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Dan) Houghton of Dublin, VA, her sons, Rev. William Bartholomew of Granville, NY, Gregg (Jennifer) Bartholomew of Monroe Falls, and James (Tracy) Bartholomew of Centerburg, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, a sister, Fannie DeFrancesco, and a brother, John Campbell.

                A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Seating will be reduced to allow for distancing, and face coverings will be required. Pastor Tommy Tucker will officiate. A live stream of the service will be available on this page just prior to service time, as well as on our Fischer Funeral Home-Danville Facebook page. The committal will follow in Union Grove Cemetery on Grove Church Rd. near Gambier. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service.
