Robert E. Hoadley

                Howard – Robert E. Hoadley, 73, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Knox Community Hospital.

                Robert was born in Newark on March 2, 1950. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967-1971, and was a truck driver for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his half-brother, Donny Seigle; and brother-in-law, Delbert Lewis.

                Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Lewis) Hoadley; children, Matthew Hoadley, Joshua Hoadley, Sarah Davidson, Jeremiah Hoadley, and Marcus Hoadley; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister, Donna Squires; brother-in-law, Sam (Kathy) Lewis; sisters-in-law, Elly (James) Duncan, and Karen (Michael) Gerome; and his childhood brothers, Jim, Tom, and Denny Williams.

                A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Chaplain Dave Matos officiating. Military rites will follow, conducted by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard. Burial will take place at a later time.
