Steven Stowell Obituary

 

                WARSAW- Steven Lynn Stowell, 64, died Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Columbus.         

                He was born Feb. 28, 1955 in North Platte, NE to the late Willard Stowell, Sr. and Margaret (Jordan) Stowell. He served in the US Army, and later in the US Navy for several years. He was a loving dad and grandpa, and he loved his two dogs, “Grizzly” & “Baby Bear”. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and old tv shows like “Bonanza” & “M*A*S*H”.

                He is survived by a step-son, Tim Ferrell; a step-daughter, Nikki Ferrell; his step-grandchildren; his siblings: sister, Linda (Edward) Richard of Fort Worth, TX, sister, Francis (Danny) Horn of Dardanelles, AR, brother, Randy (Robin) Stowell of Warrensburg, MO, brother, Willard Jr (Marie) Stowell of Colorado Springs, CO, sister, Sharon Stowell of Riverside, CA, and brother, Roger (Pat) Stowell of Denver, CO; lots of nieces and nephews; close friends, Stephanie Spang and her daughter Averie Spang; Herb (Lawissa) Tidrick, Cheryl Derwacter, and Rick (Kristen) Holskey and children.

                In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen D. (Axles) Stowell, whom he married Oct. 26, 1995 and who preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 2017; a sister, Anna Godbey.

                A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Valley View Cemetery with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.
