Susanne (Stein) Herrel

       WARSAW- Susanne “Sue” (Stein) Herrel, 80, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at her residence.

       Susanne was born March 23, 1941 in Columbus to the late John and Ida (Griffith) Stein.  She graduated from Linden McKinley High School in Columbus in 1958.  She worked at Nationwide Insurance until her first child was born.  Susanne served on the altar guild committee at St. Peter’s Church in Columbus and then later at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Coshocton. 

       Susanne loved to bowl, play golf, and swim. She enjoyed model trains and watching her kids and grandkids play various sports, as well as spending time with friends and family. 

       Susanne married Richard Allen Herrel in Columbus on August 18, 1962.  Together they raised three daughters, Rebecca (Ronald) Perian II of Farmington Hills, Michigan; Linda (Rob) Deeslie of Newark; and Amy (Matthew) Tyack of Johnstown. Additional family includes: six grandchildren, Ronald (Nicole) Perian III, Michael Perian, Kaylynne Perian, Ashley Hayes, Emily Tyack and Miranda Tyack; and one great grandchild, Ronald Perian IV.  In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, she is survived by a sister, Judy Stein of Hebron; and other family members and friends.

       Per her wishes, a private family graveside service was held at Green Hill Cemetery in Johnstown. Her family will receive visitors at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw on Friday, Jan. 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
